Mission Mangal, which features Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in lead roles, has still been working successfully in theatres

Mission Mangal, which released on August 15, 2019, continues its successful run at the Box Office even as the month of September comes to an end. After beating Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari's total net collections of 2019, Mission Mangal has gained the fourth position in top net grossing films of 2019.
Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan's Mission Mangal minted Rs. 1.75 crore in fifth week since its release. This takes the total collections of the film up to Rs. 193.83 crore. After minting 50-60 lakhs more, the lifetime collections of Mission Mangal could be Rs. 194 crore.
Although the movie worked well in West Bengal and Mysore, Mumbai has contributed the most towards Mission Mangal collections, Rs. 60 crore plus to be precise. In Mysore, the movie performed better than 2019's highest grossing film Kabir Singh.

Mission Mangal is made of budget of Rs. 32 crore. Directed by Jagan Shakti and produced by R. Balki, the movie also features Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menon and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles. The movie is loosely based on the story of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission, India's first interplanetary expedition. The movie is jointly produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions, Fox Star Studios, Aruna Bhatia, and Anil Naidu.
