Varun Dhawan, who is working on his next film Kalank these days, recently shared a selfie with his co-star Aditya Roy Kapur and producer Karan Johar where he is seen wearing kohl in his eyes.

Men with kohl in the eyes have never gone unnoticed in Bollywood. It was Ranveer Singh's kohl-lined eyes that had made women helplessly fall in love with the ruthless Allaudin Khilji in Padmaavat. Earlier it was Shah Rukh Khan's look in Raees that had gone viral for the very same reason.

Kohl-eyed men have mostly been criminals, gangsters or terrorists or simply put the bad men in Bollywood. Going by this logic, will it be safe to say that Varun Dhawan is playing a grey-shade character, if not an out and out villain in Kalank?

Have a look at the picture and decide for yourself -

Directed by Abhishek Varman, the epic drama set in the 1940s will see Madhuri Dixit Nene and Sanjay Dutt coming together on the silver screen after a gap of 11 years. It also marks the fourth collaboration of Varun and Alia. The film will be bank-rolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Fox Star Studios and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
