Fukrey 3 box office collection day 3: Richa, Pulkit, Pankaj-starrer comedy sees massive growth, earns Rs 11.67 crore

Fukrey 3 is the third part of the comedy franchise after Fukrey (2013) and Fukrey Returns (2017). The film is seeing a huge growth at the box office, despite its mixed reviews.

Starring Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma, and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles, Fukrey 3 released in the theatres on Thursday, Sepember 28, and received mixed reviews from critics. But, the film has been successful in drawing audiences to the theatres due to the recall value of the first two parts.

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Fukrey 3 has earned Rs 28.30 crore in its first three days. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media handles and shared the official numbers, "#Fukrey3, as expected, witnesses EXCELLENT GROWTH on Day 3, hits DOUBLE DIGITS to consolidate and cement its status… Double digits on Sun - Mon should ensure ₹ 50 cr *extended* weekend, which would be a FANTASTIC SCORE…Thu 8.82 cr, Fri 7.81 cr, Sat 11.67 cr. Total: ₹ 28.30 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice."

Fukrey 3 has released alongside Vivek Agnihotri's The Vaccine War, based on India's battle against Covid-19. Also starring Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Raima Sen, Anupam Kher, and Girija Oak amonng others, the latter film has taken a slow start at the box office and has only collected Rs 3.33 crore in three days.

Earlier slated to release on December 1 with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal and Vicky Kaushal's Sardar Udham, Fukrey 3's release date was preponed to September 28 after Prabhas and Prashanth Neel's Salaar, which was earlier scheduled to hit theatres this week, was postponed and is now set to clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki in December.

Coming back to the comedy film, Fukrey 3 is the third part of the comedy franchise after Fukrey (2013) and Fukrey Returns (2017).  Ali Fazal, who was among the main cast members in the first two films, opted to miss the threequel as he had prior work commitments. He will be seen next in Vishal Bhardwaj's Khufiya, which starts streaming on Netflix on October 5.
