Deepika Padukone to take on Amitabh Bachchan this December 1.

So, the Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer, Padmavati, will release on December 1.

This also means that Deepika will be clashing with her onscreen father from Piku, Amitabh Bachchan, as 102 Not Out that brings him and Rishi Kapoor together after 26 years is also slated to release on the same date.

It’s a different thing that both the films belong to completely different genres. While Padmavati is a period film, 102 Not Out is a social drama with Rishi playing Bachchan’s son and how their repartee changes the course of the film.

Now, whether the makers of 102 Not Out will stick to the date or shift the film remains to be seen.
