Not revealing the donation amount, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone pledged to contribute to PM Cares Fund

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, lovingly called DeepVeer by their fans, are the latest to come forward to support the citizens in need due to the coronavirus pandemic in India. They have pledged to donate to PM Cares Fund in fight against coronavirus.
The couple announced their decision on their social media platforms without disclosing the amount of donation. “In times like these, every bit counts. We humbly pledge to contribute to the PM-CARES FUND, and hope that you will too. We're all in this together, and we shall overcome. Jai Hind,” wrote Deepika and Ranveer on their Instagram handles.
On Friday, Kareena Kapoor Khan had also announced that she and Saif Ali Khan have donated towards PM Cares Fund and Maharashtra CM Relief Fund. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had also lent their support in the cause. Akshay Kumar was the first to donate Rs. 25 crore towards PM Cares Fund, and was followed by Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan and Vicky Kaushal among other names.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were also seen cheering for the heroes during Janata curfew on Sunday, March 22, 2020. Soon after, Deepika and Ranveer were seen having social media banters, including where Deepika cooked lavish dinner for Ranveer.
