Ranbir Kapoor will be paired opposite lady love Alia Bhatt for the first time in Ayan Mukerji's fantasy drama 'Brahmastra'
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra has been grabbing the eyeballs, ever since its inception. The Ayan Mukerji directorial will bring togther the lovebirds for the first time on the silver screens. While speculations about the plot and characters in Brahmastra are rife, not much is known about who plays what in the supernatural fantasy drama.
Post the logo launch of Brahmastra, all we got to know was that Ranbir Kapoor's character is called Shiva and that of Alia Bhatt goes by the name of Isha, as revealed by Ayan in his Instagram post. Now, if recent reports are anything to go by, then apparently, Ranbir will be seen playing a DJ in the film which was earlier known by the title of Dragon.
A report on MidDay quoted a source as saying, "Ranbir plays a DJ who walks out of his house against his father's wishes. The story then traces his journey as he tries to fulfil his dreams and discovers his superpowers in the process."
The tabloid further quoted the source, "The film has some high octane action sequences. Ranbir trained in traditional Indian martial arts, including Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai, before the film went on floors in 2017."
Well that's not all! Reportedly, all the characters in Brahmastra have some or the other superpower. Ranbir's character may be seen unleashing fire from his palms in the film. Talk about some exciting piece of news!
Brahmastra was earlier titled Dragon tentatively and Ranbir's character was called Rumi back then. However, as Dragon became Brahmastra, Ranbir's Rumi too became Shiva. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia in significant roles. However, not much is known about their characters yet. Watch this space...
