Abhishek Bachchan feels "emotional" while talking about mom Jaya Bachchan'a acting in RRKPR.
Abhishek Bachchan is one of the leads in the sports drama Ghoomer, set to release soon in theatres. Abhishek's mom Jaya Bachchan plays the character of Dhanalakshmi Randhawa, a headstrong woman who is the head of the Randhawa family in Karan Johar's Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Her character is presented with a heavy and negative aura. Recently in an interview, the actor was asked about his thoughts on his mother Jaya Bachchan's work in the movie. To which the actor said that while he can view and critique his father Amitabh Bachchan's acting very easily, he has trouble doing that with his mother.
In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan said, "Its always emotional. With my father, I'm always able to view his work as an actor. With my mother, I can't. I'm a terrible judge because, for me, that's maa. With Aishwarya and dad, you can look upon their work as an actor. "
Abhishek feels like the relationship between a mother and child is different. Jaya Bachchan has been more a mother than an actor for Abhishek and therefore passing a judgement on her acting is tough for him. However, Abhishek has no issues analysing his father Amitabh Bachchan, and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's acting.
The actor elaborates about his mom and wife's careers in acting, by saying, "I hope and pray that they do more work cause as viewers of cinema, they have already contributed a lot and there is so much more to give now and it is such an exciting time." The actor implies that Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have incredible potential that the world should see. Both ladies are fan-favourite actresses and he looks forward to seeing them on the big screen more often.
Jaya Bachchan made a comeback to big screen after a very long time with Karan Johar's Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The movie has a stellar star cast with actors like Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra too. Concurrently, Aishwarya was last seen in the period drama Ponniyin Selvan 2.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan is currently focused on the promotions of his upcoming movie Ghoomer alongside Saiyami Kher, Shabana Azmi, and Angad Bedi. Helmed by R Balki, the movie is scheduled to release on August 18.
