Aamir Khan known as a humanitarian and social activist has shared a special anecdote for World Mental Health Week 2019. The actor took to his Instagram to celebrate the mental health week and used to occasion to spread more awareness. He often highlights the need to take mental health seriously in India.

He shared a meaningful quote about mental health with his fans and admirers. In the post, he talks about how important it is to have a conversation about mental hygiene just as we talk about physical hygiene. Aamir Khan's movies like 3 Idiots, Taare Zameen Par and Secret Superstar often had subtexts and foreshadowing of mental health and its effect on your loved ones.

The shared quote read, "Emotional hygiene is as important as physical hygiene. Being aware and sharing difficult emotions relieves stress. Physical exercise also can beat stress. Last seen in Thugs of Hindostan, Aamir is currently working on his next big project. The epic action fantasy of 2018 co-starring Amitabh Bachan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif didn't fare well at the box office. It was one of the most anticipated film of last year but failed to impress critics or audience. Aamir earlier this year acquired the rights to Tom Hanks, Forrest Gump and will be starring in the film's remake.

The remake has been titled as Laal Singh Chaddha. Aamir will be playing the titular roles co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan.
