Thousands of participants from several states as well as around a dozen countries are expected to take part in the Expo, being organised by Akhil Gujarat Rajput Yuva Sangh
The Rajput community, which was in the news of late for opposing release of the movie Padmaavat, is set to showcase its economic might at the Rajput Business Expo 2018, which will take place in Ahmedabad later this week.
Thousands of participants from several states as well as around a dozen countries are expected to take part in the Expo, being organised by Akhil Gujarat Rajput Yuva Sangh, an organisation of the Rajput community.
This will be the third edition of the Expo after Surendranagar (2016) and New Delhi last year. Organisers said that the idea of the business expo is to bring community members to a common platform. The business meet will take place at the Sabarmati Riverfront near National Institute of Design (NID) from February 16 to 18.
Organisers said that more than 200 exhibitors from Gujarat and other states are taking part in the three-day Expo, which is expected to be attended by over 1.5 lakh visitors. Delegates are expected to come from as many as 12 countries for the business meet. The Expo will create more than 5,000 business development and transfer opportunities. There will also be a buyer and seller meet with the international Rajput community, which will help the community members expand their businesses, they said.
Spread over an area of over 1 lakh sq feet, the Expo will showcase new innovations and technology. An education and employment fair will also be a part of the three-day event. The business expo comes a few weeks after the Global Patidar Business Summit organised by Patidar community in Gandhinagar in January.
