Special meeting of Pakistan's cabinet on Thursday decided that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani does not need to resign on moral grounds as he has not been convicted of a criminal offence.
Gilani's lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan said there was no automatic or immediate disqualification of Gilani, adding that Gilani and cabinet have decided to appeal against the Supreme Court's order.
