This ex-Afghanistan minister now delivers pizza in Germany

Syed Ahmad Shah Sadat, who had previously served as the communications and technology minister in Afghanistan, is now earning his money by delivering pizza in Germany. 

Twitterati went into a shock as Al-Jazeera Arabia, on Tuesday, shared photos of the former minister carrying a box of pizza and riding a bicycle. Notably, Syed Ahmad Shah Sadat is currently a resident of Leipzig where he has been staying since leaving Afghanistan in December 2020. 

Syed Ahmad Shah Sadat was a part of Ashraf Ghani's cabinet which he had joined in the year 2018 but had later resigned in 2020 due to some differences. After that, Sadat left Afghanistan and settled in Germany. 

The authenticity of the photos posted by Al-Jazeera Arabia was confirmed by Syed Ahmad Shah Sadat himself. He told Sky News that he wants his story to set an example and bring in a change in the way high-ranked officers live in Asian and Arab countries. 

Sky News also reported that the former minister started working as a food delivery professional for German company Livrando after he ran out of money.

As for his qualifications, Sadat holds two master’s degrees in communications and electronic engineering from Oxford University. He has a working experience of 23 years in the field of communications and has worked for 20 different companies in 13 countries. 

In other news, it has been 10 days since the Taliban took over Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, after which president Ashraf Ghani left the city. Speaking about the situation in the country, Sadat said that he never foresaw the civilian government to fall so swiftly.
