Meet Corduroy, the world's oldest living cat crowned by the Guinness World Records.

The reigning feline recently turned 26-years-old. An average life span of a domestic cat is 15 years. According to the official page of Guinness, he as been a long time companion to its owner Ashley Reed Okura from the US, since he was a tiny Kitten and she was seven-years-old.

Corduroy previously held the record in 2014, but lost it when Tiffany Two's owners submitted a claim of the title. The record made it back Corduroy,  when Tiffany Two passed away at the age of 27 years, 2 months and 20 days.

The oldest known cat to ever live was Creme Puff, who was born in 1967 and lived for an astonishing 38 years and three days
