On Wednesday, popular game-show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC 12) began with roll-over contestant Jwala Jeet Singh seated on the hot seat.

A customs inspector in Nashik, Singh won Rs 3,20,000 after he wrongly answered a question that was worth Rs 12,50,000 on the show.

The 12,50,000 question that he answered incorrectly was: Which of these is a saline water lake?

The options available were: A) Wullar Lake, B) Loktak Lake, C) Pangong Lake and D) Coleru Lake

While the correct answer to the question is Pangong Lake, situated in Ladakh, Singh, who had no lifelines left to take help from, opted for Coleru Lake and lost out on a huge sum on the show, despite host Amitabh Bachchan warning him about being certain of his answer and mentioning that he could choose to quit.

Earlier, on Tuesday's episode, IPS officer Mohita Sharma won Rs 1 crore to become the second crorepati of the season.

While she was able to answer the 1 crore question correctly, she quit when she saw herself stuck at the question for Rs crore.

The question that made Mohita crorepati was: Which of these explosives was first patented in 1898 by German chemist Georg Friedrich Henning and first used in World War II?

The options for the question were - A) HMX B) RDX C) TNT D) PETN

Mohita was a little confused about the answer and took the help of a lifeline. She asked for expert advice. The expert, Pankaj Pachauri, said the answer was B) RDX.

After Amitabh Bachchan asks if she is sure, Mohita went ahead with the answer and asked the host to lock the answer B) RDX.

It was the right answer and made Mohita Sharma the first civil servant and IPS officer as crorepati on the show.

Later, having been left with no lifelines, Mohita quit the show when she was unable to answer this 7 crore question: Launched in 1817, which of these ships built by the Wadia group in Bombay is the oldest British warship still afloat?

The options for the question were - A) HMS Minden B) HMS Cornwallis C) HMS Trincomalee D) HMS Meanee

Unsure of the answer, Mohita quit the show.

After quitting, as per the ritual, Amitabh Bachchan asked Mohita to guess an answer. She picked the option B) HMS Cornwalls. It was the wrong answer.

The right answer to the question was - C) HMS Trincomalee.

After Nazia Nasim, MOhita became the second crorepati this season.

Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan brings hope, fame, money and most of all an opportunity for Bachchan fans to be up, close and personal with the star.

It airs Monday to Friday at 9 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
