In a tragic piece of news, TV and film actor Sidharth Shukla died of a heart attack on Thursday. Sidharth who won the controversial reality show 'Bigg Boss 13', was 40 years old. 

Best known for his role in the popular and long-running TV show 'Balika Vadhu', Sidharth's death was confirmed by an official at the Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, as per a Hindustan Times report. 

As per reports, Sidharth Shukla suffered a massive heart attack. He is survived by his mother and two sisters. "He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago," the senior Cooper Hospital official was quoted telling a news agency.

For the unversed, Sidharth Shukla made his acting debut in the 2008 show 'Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na' opposite Aastha Chaudhary. Later, he appeared in several TV shows and became a household name. In 2014, he made his Bollywood debut in a supporting role in Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt starrer 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania'. 

Sidharth won the hearts if his fans when he emerged as the winner of reality shows 'Bigg Boss 13' and 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7'. His popularity grew with his wins yet he remained one of the most humble stars to date. 

Sidharth recently also made his digital debut with 'Broken But Beautiful 3' opposite debutante Sonia Rathee. 

A former supermodel, Sidharth Shukla had an unparalleled fan following. So, when the news of his tragic demise broke, it sent shockwaves in the film and TV industry.
