Ousmane Dembele asks for transfer as Barcelona plot swap deal to bring back Neymar: Report

FC Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele has asked the club to allow him to leave the club in the January transfer window, according to a report in GOAL. 

It also reported that Dembele's exit could help facilitate Neymar's shock return to the La Liga side.

According to the report, Dembele has requested the Barcelona board sanction a sale when the transfer window reopens in the winter. The 21-year-old has not quite settled at Barcelona following his 105 million euros move from Dortmund in 2017. 

The report also claims that Barca are planning to include him in a possible swap deal for Neymar with PSG being offered Dembele and a substantial cash fee in return.

There have been reports of Premier League sides like Liverpool being interested in Dembele. However, Barcelona having denied any approach from Anfield for the player so far.

Dembele has seen his attitude called into question in recent weeks, with Spanish newspaper AS having reported that the Frenchman had missed a training session following an all-night video game session with friends.

Dembele has been in firing line for reported lack of professionalism, his fitness and diet issues since coming to Camp Nou.
