Housewife run over by PMPML bus in Kalewadi

A 33-year-old housewife Manisha Anil Dudhal was killed after she was hit by a speeding Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus on Kalewadi main road on Friday morning.

The Sangvi police have arrested the bus driver identified as Aalim Babumiya Shaikh (30) of Vijaynagar, Kalewadi for rash and negligent driving.

According to the police, Manisha was a resident of Aundhgaon. On Friday around 10 am, she was hit by the speeding bus while crossing the road in front of Dhangarbaba temple on Kalewadi main road. She sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to a private hospital where she was pronounced brought dead.

A complaint in this regard was lodged by the deceased’s relative Laxmibai Tukaram Bhagyawant (46) with Sangvi police station.
