SBI Alert: Here are tips to stay away from fraudsters on social media

Amidst rising cases of fraudsters looking to target customers who are now engaging in online transactions amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Bank of India (SBI) continuously updates the customers about safety measures they should take to tackle banking frauds.

State Bank of India tweeted that customers should not be sharing 'confidential details online' without checking if it's a verified account. 

“Be vigilant, be safe. While interacting with us on social media, please check account verification and do not share confidential details online,” SBI tweeted along with posting a video.

In the video, SBI mentions two steps to verify their social media account

Step 1. Check for page verification badge on each platform.

Step 2. Avoid sharing details with page impersonating as SBI and prevent and prevent fraud.
