Aadhaar Card update: Download Aadhaar Card anytime without registered phone number - Know step-by-step guide

Aadhaar card has become an essential document for all of us. From government schemes to financial services, Aadhaar is required everywhere The Aadhaar card is linked to our bank accounts, electricity bills, gas connections, etc. and therefore we cannot afford to lose it.

As per the new Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) guidelines, to download aadhaar card, having a registered mobile number is no longer mandatory. The unique 12-digit identification number can be easily downloaded by simply logging in at the UIDAI website: uidai.gov.in.

UIDAI has recently tweeted that it has installed more than thirty-five services such as download Aadhaar, status check, order Aadhaar reprint, and locate Aadhaar Kendra, etc. on your smartphone to make things easier.

Steps to download Aadhaar card without a registered phone number:

- Visit the UIDAI website.

- On the homepage, click on “Order Aadhaar Reprint” under the “My Aadhaar” option.

- Fill in the 12-digit Aadhaar number or 16-digit VID number.

- Put the security code.

- Now click on the ‘My Mobile number is not registered’ option

- You will now be redirected to enter an alternate mobile number that is not registered with the Aadhaar number.

- Enter the details of the alternate mobile number.

- Select the ‘Send OTP’ option.

- Check the box against the ‘Terms and Conditions’ option.

- Click the ‘Submit’ option.

- Provide your OTP.

- ‘Preview’ Aadhaar Letter’ will be displayed on the computer screen.

- Make payment for downloading the e-Aadhaar.

- Now you can download the PDF of e-Aadhaar.
