Vivo has added another smartphone to its list of selfie-centric smartphones. Called the Vivo Y69, it features a 16-megapixel camera with moonlight glow LED light on the front. Priced at Rs 14,990, the smartphone will be available for sale online across the platform of Flipkart and Amazon India from September 1.
The front camera is touted by the company for its bokeh modes and group selfie photography. On the back, the Y69 comes equipped with a 13-megapixel camera that apes Apple iPhone like Live Photo feature to capture moving images. Other modes on the rear camera include – Face Beauty Mode, HDR Mode, Night Mode and Pro mode for manual camera controls.
The smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.o with Funtouch OS 3.2 skin on the top. Priced in the Rs 15,000 segment, the Vivo Y69 faces competition with likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo K8 Note and Moto G5 Plus.
Features and specifications
The Y69 has a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layered on top for protection against scratches. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6570 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, and paired with 3GB RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. It has fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button on the front. For connectivity, the Y69 supports 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/AGPS, OTG. It is dual-SIM enabled and uses a hybrid SIM slot for SIM card and microSD card. Th smartphone houses a 3,000mAh battery with no support for fast charging. It comes in two colour options – Champagne Gold and Matte Black.
