Yes, Bangalore’s beautiful

Bangalore truly is a gorgeous city, proof to it are the amazingly beautiful and talented women who reside in it. Max Bangalore Beautiful, DNA's special supplement, is back again, with a new set of 15 girls from different walks of life, who have the potential to be leaders in their respective fields. The team behind the scenes, which includes the special jury as well as the stylists, get talking on the exciting project this year.

“It was such a wonderful experience with so many girls were facing the camera for the first time. They had no idea how to pose but they’ve emerged to be such amazing subjects in front of the camera eventually,” says Venkatesh L, who captured the girls for this project.

Sandalwood superstar Ramya, who was part of the jury, says, “What I like about the concept of Bangalore Beautiful is that it features people outside showbiz. This is what makes the issue all the more special. We had so many lovely girls to choose from that it was hard to zero in on the final lot.”

Designer Manoviraj Khosla, who was also part of the jury, remained stunned when he saw some of the girls who were short-listed. “I must say that some of the sportspersons who have eventually made it to the final 15 are not just pretty faces but their amazing accomplishments make them all the more worthy to be part of a list which showcases the best faces of Bangalore,” he says.

The stylists behind the shoots feel that the girls didn’t quite need anything extra on them to showcase their beauty, considering their success stories. “It was one amazing experience to be a part of a project like this. It is not often that we get to work on glam photoshoots, where most of the people who’re being captured on lens aren’t from the glam industry. These girls have a sense of confidence that comes from within and that makes them look even better,” says stylist Robert Naorem, who styled some of the girls in this project.

Max Bangalore Beautiful will be out on Friday, which will be followed by the Max Bangalore Beautiful fashion show, to be held for a select audience on the same evening at The Lalit Ashok.
