PCC chief Sachin Pilot has accused the BJP of changing poll narrative by diverting the attention to Hindutva and Ram Mandir issues for political gains. He also asserted that party president Rahul Gandhi had asked him to contest the assembly election and there is no friction in the party.

Speaking at ‘Chunav Vimarsh Rajasthan’ conclave, Pilot slammed the BJP leaders who criticised Rahul for taking soft Hindutava line. “In Hindu Dharma every one has right to worship in his own way. If someone recites an aarti completely then it is a core Hindutva? Or if he recites aarti half way then it would soft Hindutva? Why the BJP leaders get so disturbed when Rahul visits a temple. The constitution of India allows a person to worship his religion,” Pilot said.

He said that the BJP in a planned strategy is trying to change of narrative by diverting to the issues like temple and Hindutva. “They talk of how the temple will be constructed and they have no concern for the development. There is scarcity of the urea for the farmers in Rajasthan but none discusses it. Who will go the temple or mosque they discuss. They are doing it to misguide the people and trying to change their narrative. Has anyone had idea of mob lynching word before four years?,” asked Pilot, training his guns on the BJP leaders who raise temple and Hindutva issues.

The state unit head also slammed the Raje government for failures and exuded confidence in forming the government after the election. “People want change. We will form a government that would have participation of the commoners. This Raje government worked in arrogant way and remained unconnected with the people in the last five years,” Pilot said, adding that farmers issues and employment to the youths will two priorities of the government and that would be mentioned in the party manifesto to be released in a couple of days.

Pilot also rejected reports related to friction on the name of CM. “All leaders have worked together with me. Even it was the BJP which failed to elect its party president in 75 days. If there were friction in the Congress then it would never won the byelections,” Pilot said.
