Ben Stokes has been a stand-out performer in this year's Indian Premier League (IPL). The Englishman, who was the costliest buy this season, helped Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) win several matches with his tremendous all-round skills.

While the likes of Kevin Pietersen have been mighty upset with the all-rounder's departure right before the Playoffs, Stokes himself gave the perfect parting gift to Indian fans before he left.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Stokes spoke about how he admires former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

"On the field, MS epitomises calmness and, from a cricket point of view, has the best angle in terms of field placements," said Stokes. "Obviously, Steve Smith's the captain, but he's aware that MS has the best angle and so has worked with him in setting fields. Indeed, Steve and MS have worked really well together."

The all-rounder even appreciated how despite being a legend of the game, MSD is always approachable. "In the hotel, MS keeps his door open and anybody can go in. He's been very accommodating," said Stokes.

With RPS set to take on Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2017 on Tuesday, this frank talk by Stokes is sure to give that extra bit of motivation to Dhoni and his team-mates.
