The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been a place where selectors have actually found young talents who could possibly represent India at the International level. However, there were questions raised after BCCI announced India's squad for the Australia tour.

Rohit Sharma was excluded from the Indian squad due to injury concerns and not just his name but fans and experts alike were also seeking answers about the absence of Suryakumar Yadav from the ODI and T20I sides.

Now answering the questions about the young talent from Mumbai Indians (MI), BCCI president Sourav Ganguly's answer should be enough justification.

Ganguly praised the right-handed batsman and said the day is not far when he breaks into the Indian side. “He is a very good player,” Ganguly said in an interview with Hindustan Times. “His time will come.”

Suryakumar Yadav has been one of the most prolific performers of the domestic circuit for the last couple of years. He has also been a consistent performer in the IPL and has amassed 512 runs in 14 games in IPL 2018 while he got 424 runs in 16 games last season. This year too, as the No.3 batsman, he has scored 410 runs in 14 matches so far.

Suryakumar, however, is not the only one to have impressed Ganguly. The former India captain named Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) Sanju Samson, Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Rahul Tripathi, Varun Chakravarthy, and Shubman Gill and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opener Devdutt Padikkal as the big domestic successes of the IPL 2020.

While Samson has made his way into India's T20I side, Chakravarthy earned his maiden call-up on the back of some consistent performances with the ball.

Tripathi too impressed at the top of the order for KKR and RCB's Padikkal has been one of the finds of the season. He is also the frontrunner to bag the emerging players’ award as he is currently the highest run-scorer for RCB with 472 runs in 14 matches.
