Orange and Purple Cap update

The Orange Cap race sees KL Rahul on top with 670 runs in 14 games at a average of 55. However, with Kings XI Punjab now out of the race, there is a strong possibility of David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan staking a claim for the Orange Cap. Warner has 529 runs at an average of 44.08 while Dhawan has 525 runs at an average of 47.73.

In the race for the Purple Cap, the race has intensified further with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals both in the playoff race. Kagiso Rabada is on 25 wickets while Jasprit Bumrah is one 23 wickets. Both bowlers have a chance to increase their tally with both teams at least assured of playing two more games. Trent Boult also has 20 wickets and he has a good chance to match Rabada and Bumrah. If Royal Challengers Bangalore go the entire distance, then Yuzvendra Chahal can also be among the wickets.
