As the current weather conditions continue to negatively affect many people's lives, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued forecasts for a number of other states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Manipur, and others.
There have been numerous landslides and cloudbursts in hill states like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh as a result of heavy rainfall. As the current weather conditions continue to negatively affect many people's lives, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued forecasts for a number of other states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Manipur, and others.

From today to August 23, except tomorrow, there will likely be light to moderate amounts of scattered to widespread rain, thunder, and lightning, with a few isolated areas of heavy rain, over Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh.
However, in West Uttar Pradesh, this weather is expected to prevail from August 21 to 23. The remainder of northwest India is likely to experience light to moderate isolated or scattered rainfall this week.
East India: Light/moderate scattered to widespread precipitation with isolated heavy precipitation activity expected over Odisha on August 19 and 21; over Jharkhand today; over Bihar from Aug 21 to 23; and over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on August 21 to 23.
Today, there may be a few isolated, very heavy downpour over Odisha. The remainder of east India will continue to experience light to moderate scattered or fairly widespread rainfall this week.
Northeast India: Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura till August 23 and Arunachal Pradesh from tomorrow to August 23 are likely to experience light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall activity.
South India: Today, there will likely be isolated heavy rain over Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh, with light to moderate scattered to widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning also possible. The remainder of South Peninsular India is expected to experience light to moderate scattered or fairly widespread rainfall this week.
Central India: East Madhya Pradesh will likely experience light to moderate rainfall, fairly widespread to widespread thunderstorms, and lightning, with isolated severe rainfall forecasted for today and tomorrow.
Similarly, Vidarbha will likely experience light to moderate rainfall, moderate to heavy thunderstorms, and lightning. The remainder of central India is likely to experience light to moderate scattered or fairly widespread rainfall this week.
