Chief engineer S K Gupta said that police department has an outstanding payment of Rs 9 lakh 41 thousand.
Power theft will not be tolerated at any cost and executive engineers of the areas concerned have been instructed to install electricity meters on all the police posts and stations, he said.
Chiefs of all the defaulting departments have been asked to pay their outstanding dues at the earliest, Gupta added.
He said that all the outstanding dues till March will be recovered.
