Nagaland Governor PB Acharya has urged security forces to take extra care and precaution in handling any law and order situation keeping in mind the peace agreement between the Centre and NSCN(IM).

"All the citizens and security agencies should have one goal to achieve and that is peace," the Governor said during an interaction with General Officer Commanding (GoC) 3 Corps, Rangapahar, Lt Gen Bipin Rawat at Raj Bhavan on Friday.

The GoC made a courtesy call on the Governor and briefed him on the security situation in the state, a Raj Bhavan official said today.

Lt Gen Rawat was accompanied by Deputy Inspector General, Assam Rifles (North), Brig Rajeev Nanda and other high-ranking officers of Assam Rifles, the official said.

Meanwhile, 6 Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN(K) militants were killed in Noklak,Tuensang (Nagaland) by the Indian Army on Friday.
