The father has said that they shifted daughter's body on moped as there was no ambulance in the hospital in the district.

A 20-year-old speech and hearing impaired girl from Tumkuru district, Karnataka died while being taken to the hospital in an autorickshaw by her family as there was no government ambulance present.
The girl, Rathnamma, was taken on a moped, by her father as there was no ambulance in the hospital in the district.

As per Deccan Chronicle, the girl fell ill on Saturday night and was taken to a private practitioner who gave her an injection. Her condition improved that night but took a turn for the worse on Sunday.
Her parents took her to government hospital to find it closed. They returned to the private doctor said that she be taken to the Madhugiri Hospital.
According to her brother they called for a cab which demanded Rs 3000 for 20-25 km route. Her father did not have currency to make the 108 call. Finally we decided to take my sister on the moped of one of our relatives to Madhugiri, but she died on the way," said the brother Raju.
According to a local, there are many casualties in the area owing to the lack of ambulance in the hospital.
