A student of the IIM-Calcutta on Sunday drowned in the sea at Bokhali in South 24 Parganas district, police said. Monalisa Gupta (30), a resident of Lucknow, drowned in the sea at the popular tourist spot when she went for a swim along with six other classmates, they said.
Three of them swam to safety while three others were rescued by local people, but Monalisa was drowned, they said, adding that her body was found later.
