A case has been registered against two sub-inspectors of police, who are brothers, for allegedly threatening a businessman at Khammam in Telangana.

The act was captured on CCTV camera installed at the footwear shop of the complainant, police said.

Rana Pratap and B Mahesh, both PSIs and posted in Khammam district, allegedly threatened the owner of a footwear shop in Khammam town with dire consequences by brandishing a revolver, said Assistant Commissioner of Police P V Ganesh.

A case for trespass, causing injury and threatening under relevant IPC sections was registered against the two, the ACP said. No arrest has been made.

"Three days ago, the complainant had not allowed one of them to enter his shop because his shoes were covered in mud," the ACP said, adding that further probe was on.
