A total of 26 para-military force personnel had been killed and seven others had sustained injuries in an ambush by Naxals yesterday.

The body of a missing CRPF constable, who was part of the contingent ambushed by Naxals in Chhattisgarh, was found today after an extensive search operation in the area taking the toll in the attack to 27.
Body of 26-year-old Neeraj Kumar has been recovered, official sources said.
Kumar was part of the 63-member team attacked by heavily armed left-wing extremists in Daurai Road area of Narayanpur district, about 300km from here, at around 3 PM yesterday.

Yesterday's attack came nearly three months after the April six Dantewada massacre by the Maoists which left 76 security personnel dead.
