Designer Manish Malhotra and actor Vidya Balan have ironed out their differences after three years with Vidya attending Manish’s show at the ongoing Couture Week.

The star, who had reportedly publicly spoken against the designer after she was panned by critics for her look in the movie Heyy Babyy, had rubbed the leading designer the wrong way.

Manish had also not shied away from expressing his resentment to the press over Vidya’s comments. However, both parties have decided to let bygones be bygones.

An excited Manish Malhotra confirms, “I was very happy and it’s extremely sweet of her to come for my show. I was truly touched and this speaks for our film fraternity that we are always there for each other.”

A source present at Manish’s Couture Week show in New Delhi reveals, “Vidya had gone to attend Sabyasachi’s show that kicked off the fashion week. Manish’s show was right after Sabya’s and knowing this, Vidya decided to stay on and also called on Manish to talk to him.

For three years they have been estranged and Vidya’s decision to talk and attend the show broke the ice between them.”

The informer adds, “Manish does not keep things in his heart but he was hurt about the Heyy Babyy fiasco.

Hearing that Vidya was wanting to see his show, he immediately gave her a front row seat. They even caught up and had some great conversation before as well as post show.

There is no fissure in their relationship now. They are friends again.”

“It was unfortunate what had happened between them but she has made amends. She was not willing to let this problem linger. It’s good news as the industry has tried to get them for projects,” the source adds.
