Miranda Kerr close to giving birth to her first child

Miranda Kerr will soon welcome her first baby in Los Angeles.

A family member has confirmed that the Australian supermodel went into labour in the early hours of Friday morning.

Following a false alarm on Boxing Day, when it is understood Kerr reported contractions, it is believed the model and her movie star beau Orlando Bloom are now into the real thing' with her parents Therese and John by her side.

"We did get a text on Boxing Day saying she had gone into labour but it was a false alarm but I can confirm she did go into labour early this morning," the Daily Telegraph quoted an Aussie-based family member as saying.

"I have been trying to get in touch with (Kerr's parents) but everyone's phones are going to message bank,'' the family member added.
