Anirudh Ravichander has composed chartbuster songs such as Kaavaalaa, Hukum, and Rathamaarey for Rajinikanth's action-thriller Jailer, which has been a blockbuster success globally.
Headlined by Rajinikanth, the action thriller Jailer has been a phenomenal success earning more than Rs 600 crore gross worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing Tamil film of all time behind the superstar's own science fiction film 2.0, which had collected Rs 720 crore when it was released in 2018.
Celebrating the film's success, the film's producer Kalanithi Maran, who is the founder and director of the media conglomerate Sun Group, gifted BMW X7 to Rajinikanth and Porsche to the director Nelson on Friday, September 1 last week. On Monday, September 4, the music director Anirudh Ravichander was also presented with a brand new Porsche car worth Rs 1.5 crore by Maran.
The video of the same has been shared on the social media handles and YouTube channel of the production banner Sun Pictures with the caption, "To celebrate the humongous blockbuster #Jailer, Mr. Kalanithi Maran presented the key of a brand new Porsche car to @anirudhofficial".
In the clip, it is seen that Anirudh was given an option to pick one out of the three luxury cars and he added the brand new Porsche to his swanky car collection. Anirudh, who is the nephew of Rajinikanth, has given chartbuster songs such as Kaavaalaa, Hukum, and Rathamaarey for Jailer.
Meanwhile, Anirudh is set to make his Bollywood debut in Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming actioner Jawan, which releases in cinemas worldwide this Thursday on September 7. Till now, three of his songs - Zinda Banda, Chaleya, and Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya have met with mixed reactions from the listeners, but his background music in the prevue and trailer has impressed everyone.
