Happy Birthday Big B: Amitabh Bachchan 'walks in to the 80th' in style, daughter Shweta corrects it to '79th'

Bollywood's megastar Amitabh Bachchan turned 79 today and he did so in style. The actor embraced his birthday with a post on Instagram with the caption: “walking into the 80s”. However, the 'Shehanshah' of Bollywood got his age wrong on his birthday post and his daughter Shweta Bachchan took to the comment section to correct his mistake. Shweta Bachchan dropped a comment on his post, by simply writing, “79th ♥️."

Apart from Shweta, many, including his granddaughter Navya, took to the comment section to wish the megastar a happy birthday. 

Actor Ranveer Singh commented, 'Gangster' while actor Bhumi Pednekar wrote, “swag..Happy birthday sir”.

While Big B turned 79th today, his birthday celebrations started a day before as he cut a cake with his 'Chehre' producer Anand Pandit. 

The filmmaker shared the moment on social media, and wrote, “For each year that I have spent watching you on the Big Screen to each year that I have spent personally meeting you and working with you, each moment with you is remarkably inspiring! I am so glad that you visited us at our project and that we could begin the celebrations one day before. Amit ji, you truly are an inspiration and once again wishing you a very very Happy Birthday! @amitabhbachchan.”
