Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting a two-term board exam from 2021-2022 onwards. The board exams for the 2021 batch will be held in two terms with a 50% syllabus in each term. Term 1 examination in a flexible schedule will be held in November-December, while Term 2 will be held in March-April 2022.

While Term 1 will be an MCQ-based examination, Term 2 will have both subjective and objective questions. The board will conduct the examinations at the end of each term on the basis of the bifurcated syllabus.

After the announcement of the new policy, CBSE examination controller Sanyam Bhardwaj on Tuesday said conducting class 10 and 12 board examinations in two parts will reduce the stress level of students. Here we try to understand how the new National Education Policy (NEP) will favour the students and reduce their stress level.

How new policy will favour students?

Conducting class 10 and 12 board examinations in two parts will reduce the stress level of students.

The percentage of failure among the students will reduce and children will get a chance to improve themselves.

The first exam will be half of the syllabus and the second exam will be of another half of the syllabus.

This will help them to focus on their studies in a better way as per the new National Education Policy (NEP).

More opportunities are provided to students for appearing in exams and to improve their performance.

CBSE Board Term 1 examination will be objective type and term 2 examinations will be subjective type.

By conducting the exam twice, the Board is providing a chance to students to observe their performance.

As per the CBSE Board, this will help students to see how much they need to prepare for the second term exam.

The Term 1 exam will give an opportunity to the students to evaluate themselves and prepare better for the next term.

By evaluating their own performance in Term 1, the students will be better prepared for Term 2 by learning from their mistakes.
