India vs Australia 1st ODI: Bhuvneshwar Kumar picks up his 100th ODI wicket, watch

The first match of the three ODI series between India and Australia just got interesting with the very first wicket that too by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The man picked up his 100th ODI wicket exactly in the manner he took his first.

Aaron Finch was taken by surprise as the ball crashed into the stumps. The Aussie skipper departed for 6 runs. With just eight runs on the board, the wicket came in on the second ball of the third over as Finch continued with his poor run of form.

Bhuvi now becomes the 18th Indian bowler to pick up 100 ODI wickets. He has made his first international appearance since November 2018. 

Australia who had won the toss opted to bat. India selected spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja, while Ambati Rayudu will be in the middle with Dinesh Karthik.

The Indian cricket team has seen a major blow when Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul were banned from the series and were asked to return to India after their comments on a TV chat show. 

“When two quality players (Hardik and Rahul) are not featuring, it upsets the balance of the side. There are few guys who’ve got a chance to prove themselves. Jadeja is back in the ODI side, let’s see what he’s got to offer,” Kohli said.
