After an underperforming IPL both as a batsman and the captain for Rajasthan Royals (RR), Australian batsman Steve Smith gears up for a full-fledged series against India.

The batsman who has been shadow batting in the hotel room and sweating it out in nets in isolation before his quarantine ends on November 26, has suddenly found his rhythm in the last two days. According to him, something has just clicked for him in this time and certainly feels confident ahead of India series.

"I was pretty disappointed actually with my batting throughout the IPL. I never really got into a good rhythm. The past few days I have found something ... I have found my hands which I am extremely excited about. It's just getting that feel of the bat behind my toe the right way, the way my hands come up the bat.

"But it just hasn't quite been right until two days ago. I found a little something and everything just clicked in. I had a big smile on my face after training the other day,” Smith said in a virtual press meet.

Smith is the world's best batsmen in the test-match format currently and averages 62.84 with the bat. Not just this, against the tourists India, Smith averages whopping 84 in tests and 60 in the ODI format. Now, with him finding his rhythm, it's not a good news for India and its fans as they on the other hand will be missing some of their key personnel.

Last time, when India won the series Down Under, Australia were without the pair of David Warner and Steve Smith.

Talking about his consistency and the amount of runs he scores in big series, he said, "In big series I try and stand up and get the best out of myself. Whether there is something more inside me that comes out, I'm not sure."

Twitter not happy with Smith for two reasons

Even though, Smith finding his mojo back was a good news for Australia and his fans, it left some of the users sad and disappointed for a couple of reasons.

Smith-led Rajasthan Royals had their poorest IPL season as they finished last on the points table in the recently concluded season of the lucrative league.

Not just his captaincy decisions were questioned, with the bat too, he had a below-par season as he scored just 311 runs in 14 games at an average of around 25. Some users also believed that Smith's poor captaincy was a big reason for where they finished in the league table.

While, some users questioned where was Smith's this rhythm in IPL, other users felt bad that things clicking for Smith isn't a good news for team India. As in the past as well, Smith has piled on big runs against them and if he plays well, India will be having a tough time in these couple of months.
