Renewables may get 80 gw push in five years

Most respondents are hopeful of capacity additions in the renewable energy space on expectations of discom measures and network connectivity, a report said

47 gw – will comprise of utility scale solar

21 gw – wind capacity to be added

8 gw – will account for rooftop solar

3 gw – floating solar capacity to be added

175 gw – renewable energy target by 2022

100 gw – solar energy capacity target

60 gw – wind energy capacity target

73% – respondents feel govt has propelled industry growth
