After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's revelation that she was the original choice to play Padmavati  in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat and not Deepika Padukone, looks like there's another trivia that has now come to light. Turns out that the character of Maharawal Ratan Singh was to be played by Baahubali fame actor Prabhas

If a report on The Quint is to be believed then the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh in SLB's magnum opus was offered to Prabhas. We do know that apparently, Vicky Kaushal was being considered to play the part initially but later on the makers went ahead with Shahid Kapoor, who finally played the part.

Now, the million dollar quetion that hasn't been answered yet is, did Prabhas turn down the role in Bhansali's film? If yes, then what made him do so? After all, anybody would kill to be a part of SLB's cinematic world.

Reports suggest that the movie was still in it's initial stages and its castng process was still going on when Prabhas was being considered for the part. Apparently, Prabhas, who was fresh off from the monumental success of Baahubali, felt that the role in SLB's film wasn't meaty enough and hence chose to let it pass. While there's no official confirmation on the same, the rumour mills are at it, spreading it like wildfire.

Meanwhile, as of now, Prabhas is busy filming for his next titled Saaho. The actor will be seen along side Shraddha Kapoor in the action-entertainer.
