Twinkle Khanna jokes about making movie titled ‘Nail File’ after The Kashmir Files

Twinkle Khanna, a former actress who is now an author, has written her latest column, which tackles two of the biggest stories in the entertainment world: the triumph of Kashmir Files and the Oscars 'slapgate.' Twinkle quipped about how many filmmakers are rushing to register place names as movie titles in the hopes of replicating the success of Vivek Agnihotri's flick.

Twinkle Khanna is the daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. In the 1990s and early 2000s, she worked as an actor before deciding to follow her first love, writing. She has three bestselling novels to her credit, as well as a newspaper column.

About the craze for The Kashmir Files, Twinkle wrote in her column for The Times of India, She was at a meeting with a producer when she learned that a slew of new movie titles have been filed in homage to The Kashmir Files. The poor chaps are now registering names like Andheri Files, Khar-Danda Files, and even South Bombay Files, because the major cities have already been grabbed. She just wants to know if her coworkers can still call themselves filmmakers, or if, like the original nationalist, Manoj Kumar, they've all turned into clerks because of all the paperwork.

She also added, that she will make a movie called ‘Nail File.’ The movie will be based on a disastrous manicure.

The Kashmir Files is based on the early 1990s flight and killings of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley. The film has gone on to become one of the most successful Hindi films of the post-pandemic years, grossing close to 250 crore. Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, and others star in the film.
