The trailer for Sardar Ka Grandson has been dropped. The heartwarming and light-hearted film is set to stream on Netflix and stars Neena Gupta, Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. The trailer talks about the interesting technique of relocating houses from one place to another. Yes, literally picking a house from one location to placing it in your desired location. Arjun's character does this for his grandmother played by Neena Gupta.
In the trailer, Neena shares that her last wish is to visit her ancestral house which her husband and she built in Lahore before the partition. The young couple is played by John Abraham and Aditi Rao Hydari in the flashback scenes. But despite taking several efforts to make his grandma visit Pakistan, it all goes in vain. Thus Arjun comes up with the plan of bringing the house to India instead of going there.

Sardar Ka Grandson also stars Soni Razdan, Kanwaljit Singh, Kumud Mishra and Divya Seth in pivotal roles. The premise of the film directed by Kaashvie Nair is described as " The journey of a US-returned grandson (Arjun Kapoor) who will go to any length to fulfil the last wish of Sardar (Neena Gupta), the family matriarch. The film explores their unique relationship and is a tribute to multi-generational family bonds."
In a statement, Kaashvie stated, "Sardar Ka Grandson is personal because it is a delectable mix of my grandparents and my attachment to my childhood home. It celebrates the unconditional love between grandparents and grandchildren. I feel like I am one of the luckiest debut directors to have an eclectic mix of actors, a strong crew and unconditional support from the producers Nikkhil, Madhu, Monisha, John and Bhushan Kumar. Bringing the story to life on Netflix is just the icing on the cake! Can’t wait to see how the world reacts to our film!"
Produced by T-Series, Emmay Entertainment and JA Entertainment, Sardar Ka Grandson is set to stream from May 18, 2021.
