In a casual conversation with the paps, Mahima said that she knew Raj Kaushal for a very long time while showing a throwback photo of him.
A short clip shared by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani on his Instagram page has caught the attention of netizens. In the video, actress Mahima Chaudhary is seen posing with her daughter Ariana and her friends after they are spotted in Mumbai by the paps.
Mahima, her daughter and others all happily posed for the camera as the paparazzi took some time to click pictures of them. Mahima Chaudhry was seen in a grey top, shorts and a jacket while Ariana sported red joggers teamed with a black top and a red jacket. Both Mahima and Ariana were all smiles for the camera.
However, the video did not go down well with social media users because it wasn't just about Mahima and her daughter posing for the paps. In the video, Mahima is seen smiling while remembering actress-television presenter Mandira Bedi's husband Raj Kaushal who died of a heart attack on Wednesday (June 30).
In a casual conversation with the paps, Mahima said that she knew Raj Kaushal for a very long time while showing a throwback photo of him and said that she was extremely sad to hear the news of his demise. She also expressed concern for Mandira's kids Vir and Tara.
However, the video didn't go down well with netizens who called out Mahima for being 'insensitive' and posing for the camera before remembering Raj Kaushal.
Take a look at the video here:
"No man, this isn’t cool. Highly insensitive," wrote a journalist in the comments section. "Insensitivity ki bhi Seema Hoti h," commented an Instagram user. "Is she expressing grief??? Doesn't look like... Smiling and posing," asked a netizen. "How insensitive she is!!!" wrote yet another Instagram user.
Meanwhile, Mahima on Wednesday took to her Instagram handle to extend condolences on Raj's death. "Extremely shaken And saddened and in complete disbelief to know about your sudden departure #rajkaushal. Gone too soon. You will be missed my dearest friend. ..I wish you so much strength my dear @mandirabedi may god be with u & family," Mahima wrote alongside a photo of Raj.
For the unversed, Mahima Chaudhary has been away from the limelight for several years. However, she recently made headlines when she spoke about why she sought divorce from her architect husband, Bobby Mukherjee in 2013.
