We also know that a film based on life and times of former Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh is in the making as well. In the cinematic adaptation of the book by the same name written by Singh's media advisor Sanjaya Baru, the film is all set to give a detailed and critical account of of Manmohan Singh's first tenure as prime minister.
We already know Anupam Kher will be playing the lead role and now Bombay Times report suggests that Aahana Kumra has been finalised to the reprise the role of Priyanka Gandhi in this film. The actress who impressed all with her critically-acclaimed film 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' is all set to join the cast.

We are excited to see her transformation for the part as a few days back, Akshay Khanna's look for the role of Sanjay Baru was breaking the Internet.
Produced by Bohra Brothers, debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte is directing the film. Hansal Mehta, who is working on the screenplay of the film, wrote on Twitter, "Exciting days ahead as Akshaye joins the crew. 'The Accidental Prime Minister' begins shooting on March 31 with a fantastic ensemble led by Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna."
