Kriti Sanon to wear her mother’s saree to receive National Award for Mimi in Delhi? Here’s what we know

Kriti Sanon has impressed netizens with her performances in movies like Adipurush, Bhediya, and Mimi and more recently made her fans proud by winning a National Award. Now the actress is all set to make a heartwarming gesture by wearing her mother’s saree to receive the award. 

 Kriti Sanon, an engineer-turned-actress who made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with Heropanti enjoys a huge fan following that she earned by entertaining the audience with her performances. The actress’s performance as a surrogate mother in Mimi made a mark on the audience as well as the critics earning her the National Award for Best Actress. 

A source close to Kriti Sanon recently revealed her choice of attire for the upcoming National Award ceremony in Delhi. According to the source, Kriti Sanon is planning to wear one of her mother’s special sarees for the ceremony. Fans eagerly await the National Award ceremony where Kriti and Alia Bhatt will be awarded the Best Actress award. 

Helmed by Laxman Utekar, Mimi stars Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi among others in key roles. The movie revolves around the story of a woman Harbouring big dreams but not the means to achieve them, who reluctantly agrees to become a surrogate for a couple. However, when problems begin to crop up, she must face some tough decisions.

Recently, the actress also turned producer as she launched her own production house named Blue Butterfly, and not only this, the actress is already working on her first-ever production titled Do Patti. Helmed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, the movie will see Kriti reuniting with Kajol after Dilwale. 

Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming movie Ganapath Part 1. The actress will be seen sharing the screen with her Heropanti co-star Tiger Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan. Helmed by Vikas Bahl, the movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 20. The actress also has Rhea Kapoor’s The Crew and an untitled romantic film with Shahid Kapoor in the pipeline.
