Actor and self-proclaimed critic, Kamal R Khan aka KRK, known to take potshots at Bollywood, recently came out in support of Shah Rukh Khan amid the latter's son Aryan Khan's arrest in a drugs case.

In a video shared on his verified Twitter account on Wednesday, KRK is seen explaining how the Narcotics Control Bureau set up the plan to nab Aryan Khan and his friends. Explaining that the charges under which Aryan has been arrested are all bailable offences, especially given the fact that the NCB itself has stated that they did not recover drugs from Aryan Khan and his medical report also clarified that he did not consume drugs, then his being in custody is beyond anyone's understanding.

In the video, KRK also referred to the WhatsApp chats that the NCB had mentioned they found on Aryan Khan's phone. The NCB claimed that the chats recovered showed connections with international drug trafficking. Referring to the chats, KRK said that it wasn't enough to arrest someone on the basis of WhatsApp chats and added that given if that is the scenario then why wasn't Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan arrested when their WhatsApp chats about drugs became public during Sushant Singh Rajput's death investigation? KRK also asked why wasn't Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa was given bail when drugs were recovered from their home and they had even confessed to consuming them?

Besides the video, KRK also put out tweets extending support to Shah Rukh Khan. In one of he said he was standing unconditionally with SRK. "If someone will try to put down Shahrukh Khan @iamsrk by false allegations, then I am standing with him unconditionally. #istandwithsrk," KRK tweeted.

"Dear media people, if you are talking bad about Aryan and SRK relationship, then you are hitting below the belt. Just imagine if somebody will talk bad about you and your children relationship. So please stop it," KRK wrote in another tweet.

Earlier, actor Hrithik Roshan's former wife Sussanne Khan had come out in support of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan after their son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for alleged possession of banned drugs and substance abuse.

For the unversed, on October 2, an NCB team busted an alleged drugs party on a cruise ship that was on its way to Goa at mid-sea. Eight persons including Aryan Khan were detained for questioning by the NCB allegedly in connection with the drug seizure on the cruise ship. Two days ago, a Mumbai court ordered Aryan Khan and others to be remanded in NCB's custody until October 7.

Soon after the news broke, a section of social media users started vilifying Aryan Khan. Calling out such people, Sussanne took to Instagram and wrote, "I think this is not about Aryan Khan, as he was unfortunately at the wrong place at the wrong time, this situation is being made an example to drive home the excitement that some people get as they have a witch hunt on people from Bollywood."

Sussanne's statement was made on the comment section of a journalist's Instagram post. The journalist claimed that Aryan Khan's arrest should be a 'wake up call for parents'. According to Sussane, who is a close pal of Gauri, it's a sad situation for Aryan Khan as "he is a good kid." "It's sad n unfair as he is a good kid. I stand by Gauri n Shahrukh," she added.

Apart from Sussanne, Hansal Mehta, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Pooja Bhatt among others came out in support of SRK. Salman Khan, Alvirah Khan, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan were all seen visiting Mannat to meet Gauri and SRK in these tumultuous times.

Neither Shah Rukh nor anyone from the family has commented on Aryan Khan's case yet.
