Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming directorial, Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most-awaited films this year. Ever since its teaser released, people have been commenting on the young actor’s striking resemblance to Sanjay Dutt, on whose life the biopic is based. In fact, Rajkumar, who is known for his detailing, has striven to portray every aspect of Sanjay’s life aptly through the film.

While prepping for the movie, the director had to recreate the actor’s house where he lived with his parents. However, the house no longer exists. But that didn’t stop Raju from replicating Sanjay’s childhood home. He reached out to the actor’s sister, Priya Dutt, who helped him with photos and videos of their Bandra residence.

A source revealed, “Rajkumar sir wanted to portray Sanju’s life right from childhood. Hence, we started recreating the set-up for the house where he originally resided with his parents, Sunil and Nargis Dutt. It took us about 25 days and once it was ready, the cast and crew including the visitors on the sets were amazed to see an exact replica of the original house.”
