'Best decision I could've ever taken': Kareena Kapoor shares first shot from 'Refugee' on completing 20 years in movies

Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram page and shared her first shot from her debut film 'Refugee' which released this day 20 years back.

Along with Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan also completed 20 years in the film industry. She also made her debut with Refugee which released on June 30, 2000. The film was helmed by JP Dutta and introduced two new stars in Bollywood. Today, as she completed two decades in the film industry, Kareena took to her Instagram page and shared the first shot from Refugee in which she is in seen drenched in rain.

Kareena also wrote an anecdote about giving her first shot at 4 am. Her caption read as "My first shot was at 4 am... I woke up this morning at 4, looked in the mirror, and said to myself that this was the best decision I could have ever taken. 20 years of hard work, dedication, and self-confidence... I am extremely grateful to all my fans for all your love, support, and strength... Thank you #JPDutta for my life in the movies... @bachchan for being the sweetest co-star... and every single person involved in this film. Want to go back in time... #20YearsAndNotGivingUp"

Talking about Refugee, the film also starred Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.

After Refugee, Kareena and Abhishek worked together in Sooraj Barjatya's Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon which also starred Hrithik Roshan in the leading role.
