Anushka Sharma heaps praise on Virat Kohli for scoring a century in India vs Pakistan Asia Cup game.
Virat Kohli and KL Rahul provided quite a cheer for the Indian cricket fans on Monday as they pummelled centuries in India's crucial encounter against arch rivals Pakistan in the Super Four game of the ongoing Asia Cup. The game had begun on Sunday but play had to be suspended due to persistent rain. After play resumed today, Kohli and Rahul were in sublime form. Kohli ticked off quite a few milestones while scoring his 47th ODI century as he also crossed the 13000 run milestone in the format. Anushka took to Instagram to shower some love upon her husband for the special innings. Minutes after Virat completed his ton, Anushka shared a picture of her TV (featuring Virat's celebratory moment) on Instagram Stories.
Alongside the picture, the actress wrote, “Super knock, super guy (clapping and heart emoji)!!” The actress also shared KL Rahul’s picture in another story and congratulated him for his century as well. Anushka has always cheered for Virat since the days they began dating. Even before they were married, the actress was spotted in stadiums rooting for Virat and celebrating his achievement. Anushka and their daughter Vamika have recently been spotted at stadiums cheering for Kohli in the recent years.
The India-Pakistan encounter in the Asia Cup is a crucial game for both the teams as its winner stands a better chance of making it to the final of the tournament. Virat and Rahul's twin tons helped India score a strong total of 356 in their 50 overs. Provided rain stays away, Pakistan will need to chase 357 to win the game.
Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma will be soon seen playing cricket herself, but only on screen. In her upcoming movie Chakda Xpress, Anushka will play the role of former Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. Directed by Prosit Roy, the film is written by Abhishek Banerjee and is scheduled to be released on Netflix on December 16 this year.
