Akshay Kumar starrer 'Sooryavanshi' is likely to postpone and won't be released on Eid 2020. Instead, the actor will release 'Laxmmi Bomb' two weeks after Eid.
Akshay Kumar kickstarted the shoot of his forthcoming film, Laxmmi Bomb a few weeks back. The film is the official Hindi remake of Raghava Lawrence's Tamil directorial Kanchana. In the film, Akshay will be seen playing the role of a man who gets possessed by a ghost of a transgender. The superstar is paired opposite Kiara Advani in the horror comedy flick. Today, the first look of Laxmmi Bomb was unveiled by the makers. Moreover, they even announced the release date.
Yes, Akshay and Kiara's Laxmmi Bomb is set to hit the screens on June 5, 2020. This means the film will be released two weeks after Eid. An interesting part is that Akshay starrer Sooryavanshi is not coming out on Eid 2020, as per reports in Pinkvilla. The Rohit Shetty directorial will be released after Laxmmi Bomb and the new release date will be announced soon.
Talking about the same, a source stated to the entertainment portal, "After an internal meeting with the team and everyone else involved, Akshay decided to move Sooryavanshi to a later date so that Salman Khan, who is known to have an Eid release every year, can get a solo release and after two weeks, he can bring Laxmmi Bomb. The decision was also taken keeping in mind the promotions, as juggling between two movie promotions would do no good to both the parties. Moreover, Salman and Akshay share a great friendship and want both movies to work well. An official announcement will follow soon."
Earlier, during an interaction with DNA After Hrs, Katrina Kaif, the female lead in Sooryavanshi had also said that Salman will not let Inshallah clash with Akshay and her film.
